At
Musselshell Outfitters, LLC, we hunt on private land approximately
65 miles northeast of Billings, Montana, in the Bull Mountains.
This country consists of rimrock ridges and canyons with ponderosa
pine trees. Many of the old time mountain men spent their
winters in this part of the country on or near the Musselshell
River. Game is plentiful, and winters are mild, compared to the
higher mountains to the west. Although this country is rugged
in places, elevation is not higher than 4500 feet above sea level.
While deer, elk and turkey are hunted in the rimrock country,
antelope are hunted on the wide-open plains northeast of the Bull
Mountains. All of our hunting is done by staying at one central
camp. All of our hunting land is exclusive to the hunters that
we guide. Over 50,000 acres of private ranch is available to only
our hunting guests.
